Announcing the 2009-2010 Season of Cantatas in Context! We will present our annual performance of the Christmas Oratorio on Sunday, December 20, 2009, a program of Bach favorites on New Year's Eve, and uplifting choral works by Bach on Sunday, January 31, 2010. All three concerts will take place in a new venue, Park Avenue Christian Church, located at 1010 Park Avenue in New York City. The mission of AnimaMusic is to present performances of the highest quality of choral and instrumental works with a particular emphasis on the sacred repertory of the Baroque; to educate audiences and performers about textual, theological, liturgical, and musical aspects of the pieces; to train singers and instrumentalists in the performing styles appropriate to the repertory.
